“Imonikai” (imoni parties) are a seasonal event held throughout Yamagata Prefecture.
Imoni is a type of hot pot cuisine made with a root vegetable called satoimo, and the flavor differs slightly by area even within Yamagata. At our restaurant, we make it with a light soy-sauce based flavor.
